2 Days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This 2 Days Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park safari takes you Gorilla tracking to the home of mountain gorillas in western Uganda. The park is rich in bio diversity like over 300 Birds species, butter flies, trees and other mammal species. This adventure will be filled with lots of sightseeing adventures and its ideal for travelers around the towns Kabale, Mbarara and Kisoro.
This safari is not ideal for those in the capital of Uganda Kampala because the journey to Bwindi takes 7 to 9 hours by road and the trekking takes 3 to 6 hours.
Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Day 1 – You will be picked by the tour guide driver from the nearby towns for transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park depending on the sector to be tracked and they are Ruhija Sector, Buhoma sector, Rushaga Sector or the Nkuringo sector of Impenetrable forest where we shall spend the night.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, we assemble at the parks headquarters with packed lunch snack provided by the lodge where we shall be assigned a trekking group and guide ranger or the trekking experience. You have to dress well so as not to have challenges on the trekking adventure some of the required documents are your passports or any form of identification before the trek. Gorilla trekking is not for people under 15 fifteen year olds and if you have children under 15 we shall organize an activity for them to engage in others activities like other primates trekking other than the mountain gorillas. The park has a number of monkeys that can be interesting for the other children to track.
Porters are available on the day for a fee of 15-20 US dollars.
The tracking time for the primates will range from 2 to 6 hours spending on the location of the mountain gorillas and once they are located you will have an hour with the primates returning later to the park head quarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificates.
The Gorilla tracking rules
• Smoking or eating around the mountain gorillas is not allowed.
• People with diseases that can be transferred to the primates like cough and flue are not allowed to trek the mountain gorillas
• keep 7 meters from the gorillas.
• Flash photography is not allowed.
• Stay in groups.
