3 Day Uganda Gorilla safaris Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This 3 day Uganda Gorilla safari, gets you to experience the mountain gorillas in their Habitat  in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which a national park that has over half of the worlds mountain Gorilla population covering  an area of 321 sq km and habitat to many birds species especially those endemic to the Albertine Rift.

The forest is among the oldest forests in the world over 25,000 years. The National park is home to over 12 habituated gorilla families that can be trekked like the red-tailed monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys among others. In case you trek the mountain gorillas with children under 15 years we organize a trekking adventures for the under age as the over 15 year olds go gorilla trekking.

Bwindi impenetrable national park also has 51 reptiles, 120 mammals, , 310 butterfly species 27 species of frogs, 163 tree species, 1000 flowering plants, 104 fern species, geckos, chameleons, and over  350 birds species endemic in the rift valley Rift like  the hornbills and the Turacos!

This trekking adventure to reach the primates takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the mountain Gorillas a memorable adventure that you must engage in the pearl of Africa

Itinerary

Day 1Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in south western Uganda.

Our journey starts very early in the morning from your hotel or lodge in Kampala city after briefing by our tour guide on how to get the best out of the 3 days safari in south western Uganda. The journey to the national park lasts over 8 hours by road through rural Uganda giving you the opportunity to observe the Uganda rural life , Vegetation, Farms and landscapes.
On our journey we drive through masaka with a stopover at the Equator to observe the drum makes in Kayabwe in Masaka district and have an opportunity to carry out some equator experiments there before we proceed to the magnificent Bwindi impenetrable national park with a stop I Mbarara City where we have an enroute lunch.
We proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park after lunch through the beautiful hills in western Uganda the terraced landscape sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Africa arriving latter in the evening to the reserved lodge where we checking and have the night..

Day 2Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park.

After breakfast, we drive to the national parks headquarters to start our gorilla trekking in the home of mountain Gorillas. The trekking starts with a briefing by the park ranger after you are assigned to a group of trekkers which mostly of 8 members per group please remember the gorilla trekking rules and this is mainly for your safety and that of the mountain gorillas and you will be given a walking sticks and you have to dress well for the mountain Gorilla trekking because sometimes the forest is slippery you have to follow our guidelines on how to dress when trekking the Primates.
After the briefing you begin to descend into the forest through the trekking trails in the forest in search of the mountain gorillas directed by the tour guide to experience the most sought after tourist activity in Africa.
The trekking into the forest will take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas in the forest you will observe the primates go on with their daily lives like feeding, napping, take care of their young ones among others and on locating on the primates you will have a chance to spend 1 hour with the primates in the forest before you return back later.
After trekking the mountain gorillas we return to the lodge to engage I other activities like experiencing the Batwa Pygmies culture and way of life. We shall see them dance and entertain us, listen to their folk stories before we return to the lodge for dinner an overnight.
The Birds in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Bwindi has 350 bird species and 23 species being those endemic in the Albertine rift species and about 14 other species that can be found in other National parks in Uganda some of the birds species in the national parks are African Broadbill, Collared Apalis, Cinnamon Chested Bee Eater , the Handsome Francolin, and the Western Green Tinkerbird.
Bwindi’s altitude ranges between 1,190m-2,607m above sea level but most of the parks altitude is over 2000m above sea level.
Annual rainfall in the park ranges between 1,400mm and 1,900mm and this rainfall is mainly received in the months of March and April.

Day 3Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala

After Breakfast, we Check-out of the lodge and begin the journey to Kampala a journey that lasts 8 hours through the undulating hills and the Uganda farm lands with an enroute lunch in Mbarara we later stop in Kayabwe where you will purchase souvenirs to take back home with us arriving in the loge in Kampala or Entebbe late in the evening or the Entebbe international airport for your flight back home .
